Turkish Rice Pudding (Sütlaç)

Ingredients
- 100 g Rice (1 rice bowl)
- 300 ml Milk
- A pinch Salt
- 40 g Sugar
- a lot Love
- Cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, etc. (dried fruits) ・Pistachios
Instructions
- Warm milk, sugar, and salt in a pot.
- Add rice to 1 and simmer over low heat until thickened (20-30 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in spices and dried fruit.
- Garnish with pistachios when serving.
Notes
In Turkey, rice is a beloved staple food, so it’s often used in desserts too.
Rice pudding is the most popular among them. It’s an ancient dish, appearing in 11th-century Arabic dictionaries under the name “Uf.”
