Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice
  • 60 g Rice-shaped pasta
  • 60 g Butter
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 570 g Water
  • a lot Love

Instructions

  • Wash rice and soak.
  • Stir-fry the rice-shaped pasta (called Şefriye in Turkey, Risoni in Italy) in butter.
  • Add 2, salt, and love to 1 and cook as usual in a rice cooker.
  • Cut into shapes and serve on a plate.

Notes

This is the rice dish that became the basis for pilaf, very commonly eaten in Turkey. It is eaten with soups or stews.
