Ingredients

  • 30 g walnuts
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 5 g butter
  • 150 g flour
  • 20 g granulated sugar
  • 4 g baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 30 g butter
  • 1/2 egg
  • 30 ml milk
  • A lot of  love

Instructions

  • Roast walnuts at 170℃ for 8 minutes and chop roughly.
  • Put golden syrup and sugar in a frying pan and fry over medium heat until caramelized. Add walnuts and butter and mix well. When the mixture hardens, remove from heat and set aside on a sheet of cooking paper.
  • Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix with a whisk to incorporate air
  • Add butter to 3 and mix well.
  • Add egg, caramelized walnuts and love to 4 and mix, then add milk while checking the consistency
  • Cut out the dough with a scone cutter and bake at180 degrees for 20 minutes

Notes

*These scones are made with caramelized walnuts. They are savory and delicious autumn scones
