Walnut Scones

Walnut Scones
Servings: 7 pieces

Ingredients
- 30 g walnuts
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 5 g butter
- 150 g flour
- 20 g granulated sugar
- 4 g baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 30 g butter
- 1/2 egg
- 30 ml milk
- A lot of love
Instructions
- Roast walnuts at 170℃ for 8 minutes and chop roughly.
- Put golden syrup and sugar in a frying pan and fry over medium heat until caramelized. Add walnuts and butter and mix well. When the mixture hardens, remove from heat and set aside on a sheet of cooking paper.
- Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix with a whisk to incorporate air
- Add butter to 3 and mix well.
- Add egg, caramelized walnuts and love to 4 and mix, then add milk while checking the consistency
- Cut out the dough with a scone cutter and bake at180 degrees for 20 minutes

*These scones are made with caramelized walnuts. They are savory and delicious autumn scones
