Fresh onion Rice
Cost: 300yen
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 150 g fresh onion
- 60 g baby sardine
- 1 deep fried tofu
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin(sweet cooking rice wine)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 5 basil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- A lot love
Instructions
- Wash rice and soak in water with kombu. Cut fresh onion into 4 to 6 wedges.
- Cut deep-fried tofu into strips.
- Reduce the water in the rice cooker a little and add sake, mirin, soy sauce, salt, grated ginger and love.
- Put the fresh onion, deep-fried tofu and baby sardine on top of the rice and cook rice.
- When the rice is cooked, add sesame oil and mix well
- Serve in bowls and garnish with shredded Japanese basil.
Notes
This is the rice you want to eat in the season of fresh onions to feel the sweetness of onions.
