Fresh onion Rice

Ingredient

  • 2 cups rice
  • 150 g fresh onion
  • 60 g baby sardine
  • 1 deep fried tofu
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tbsp mirin(sweet cooking rice wine)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 5 basil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • A lot love

Instructions

  • Wash rice and soak in water with kombu. Cut fresh onion into 4 to 6 wedges.
  • Cut deep-fried tofu into strips.
  • Reduce the water in the rice cooker a little and add sake, mirin, soy sauce, salt, grated ginger and love.
  • Put the fresh onion, deep-fried tofu and baby sardine on top of the rice and cook rice.
  • When the rice is cooked, add sesame oil and mix well
  • Serve in bowls and garnish with shredded Japanese basil.

Notes

This is the rice you want to eat in the season of fresh onions to feel the sweetness of onions.
