Wash rice and soak in water with kombu. Cut fresh onion into 4 to 6 wedges.
Cut deep-fried tofu into strips.
Reduce the water in the rice cooker a little and add sake, mirin, soy sauce, salt, grated ginger and love.
Put the fresh onion, deep-fried tofu and baby sardine on top of the rice and cook rice.
When the rice is cooked, add sesame oil and mix well
Serve in bowls and garnish with shredded Japanese basil.
