Ingredients

  • 1 bitter melon
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp white say sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 35 g canned tuna
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 sour plums
  • 1 tbsp aonori (green laver)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • A lot of love

Instructions

  • Cut bitter melon in half lengthwise, remove seeds and slice into 5mm slices.
  • Add sesame oil to frying pan, add bitter melon and fry quickly, then add white say sauce, sake and water and fry.
  • When the bitter melon becomes soft, mix the canned tuna with the oil removed, mayonnaise, finely chopped sour ume plums with the seeds removed, and love.
  • Put 3 on plates and sprinkle aonori on top.

Notes

*Steaming the bitter melon makes it sticky. Perfect for summer salad!
