Ingredients

  • 300 ml Chickpea cooking liquid
  • 1/4 medium Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • a pinch Savory
  • a lot Love

Instructions

  • Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a pot and stir- fry the chopped onion and garlic from step 1.
  • Place the chickpea cooking liquid and the mixture from step 2 into a blender and blend.
  • Pour the mixture from step 3 back into the pot. Season with salt and savory.

Notes

The chickpea cooking liquid itself makes a delicious broth. Savory is a herb from the mint family, also known as “bean herb.” It goes well with bean stews and soups.
