Ramen & Gyoza Night Class with Guests from the U.S.

Today we welcomed a group of eight guests from the United States to Kura Cooking for a Ramen & Gyoza class. They were visiting Japan to attend their son’s university graduation ceremony.
They were a very close-knit family, but when we divided into two groups for cooking time, sparks flew—in a fun way! They joked with each other, saying things like “Which group do you think is better?” and “We’re amazing, right?” They had a great time competing while cooking together.
Everyone enjoyed the ramen and gyoza so much that they nearly finished everything. They also had fun tasting Japanese beer and homemade plum wine crafted by my husband.
It’s rare to have guests come for an evening class, but the illuminated garden and the view of the tatami room from outside created a wonderful atmosphere that everyone appreciated.
I’m truly grateful for another lovely encounter today.
