Kura Cooking in 2024

With the support of many people, I was able to hold another trouble-free class this year.

Thank you very much, everyone.

The garden shows us various faces from season to season. The guests who came to Kura enjoyed the garden. The fruits on the trees, lemon, yuzu, plum, Ume, blueberry, mandarin, sweet summer tangerine, and karin… we made drinks from them and served them as welcome drinks!

Many food lovers came from overseas as well. We had guests from over 40 countries, including tourists from Germany, the U.S., and Singapore, who came in large numbers. The couple who happened to be with us both had wives who were pregnant. They are 6 and 7 months along. I am sure they will have cute babies next year. I hope they will have a family next time. The number of repeaters is increasing among foreigners living in Japan. I really appreciate it.

After Covit-19, we had stopped sharing the food at the table, but we have resurrected it a few times in some afternoon tea classes. It is still gorgeous.

This year we published the first English-language recipe book for Kura Cooking.

I am very grateful to C-power for their support and to my English teacher Kathy for her corrections. (It is only available at Kura Cooking.)

I also met new cooking teachers this year and learned a lot from them.

In Hawaii, I learned Hawaiian cuisine at Casa Della Dolce Vita. In Tokyo, I had the opportunity to try Chinese and French cuisine at Beau&Bon.

I learned the etiquette of eating kaiseki at Ryotei Kawabun.

Kura Cooking now accepts non-cash payments such as credit card payments.

In this way, Kura Cooking is gradually evolving.

I will continue to do our best next year to provide a healing cooking class that will please many people.

We look forward to working with you again next year.

Finally, I wish you all a wonderful next year.
