In June’s cooking class

I had a variety of cooking classes in June, for example a cooking class in English, a cooking class in Singapore, and regular cooking classes. I met a lot of students, and I want to thank the class participants.

In the rainy season, there is too much moisture in your body, so you feel bad and listless.

I prepare a good menu to solve these problems in June.

June’s menu: 7dishes:

Fish boiled with soy sauce, baked zucchini, boiled eggplants with minced chicken, lightly pickled cucumber, chicken rice, shijimi clam soup, and Japanese steamed cake.

I used a few Chinese seasonings this month. They make the body more active.

I used an oyster sauce called “Milky way” in the fish dishes. It made them really soft. The seasoning was light but tasted rich. The baked zucchini is a good dish for putting in a lunch box

It is also a good dish for a party. I used Korean miso paste to make the boiled eggplants.

I used plum vinegar which I made last year to make the pickled plum. The chicken rice is an old- style dish. Long time ago, people made this for guests in this area. The shijimi clam soup is good for stomach dishes. The dessert was “Minazuki”. I used red beans. They say red beans can keep away bad luck for the first six months at the year, and then after eating “Minazuki” you can get good luck from July.

All the class participants looked really happy and healthy! I hope their families will eat these dishes, too.
