In March’s cooking class

  2016.3桜ようかん

March’s cooking lessons are all over.

March’s cooking lessons were about dishes made with cherry blossoms.

I served a plum and kelp drink as a welcome drink.

“Let’s cook Japanese dishes”

We made 7 dishes:

Steamed white fish covered with pink glutinous rice, Stir-fried new onion・pork・cloud ear mushrooms, Cherry blossom Tofu, Canola flower with broth, Rice cooked with Udo, Clear soup of spring cabbages, and Cherry blossom jelly

We felt like we were eating spring when we ate them. The cherry blossom jelly was especially excellent!

“Let’s enjoy English tea and cook English sweets”

We enjoyed making sweets flavored with cherry blossoms: Cherry blossom scones (with cherry blossom jam and clotted cream), Lemon syllabub, and Hot cross buns. The cherry blossom scones were pink like cherry blossoms, they seemed to be half English and half Japanese

We drank Cherry blossom rooibos tea and Kuwazuru tea (with milk).Rooibos tea is good for pollen allergy

I had a really good time with all the students and we felt it was spring.

A year has passed since the birth of “Kura-cooking”.

Thank you very much for your support. I truly want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I will also do my best from now on.
