Family Cooking with Guests from Hong Kong: Ramen, Gyoza & Steamed Cake Fun

Today we welcomed a mother and her two energetic boys from Hong Kong.
They were very excited—they love ramen, gyoza, and steamed cakes!

They couldn’t wait to eat their favorite ramen, so we started by making and enjoying ramen right away. They also couldn’t wait the uiro (steamed cake), tasting it while it was still warm… and their “tasting” quickly turned into real eating!

Even so, they did a great job rolling out the gyoza wrappers and wrapping the filling. Everything turned out delicious, and they said they want to make it again back home in Hong Kong.

I’m grateful for this lovely encounter.
