The intense summer heat continues, and this month’s Kura Cooking soup is just what you need.

We make a rich broth from kombu and dried tuna flakes, chill it well, and then dissolve in barley miso. To finish, we add lightly salted cucumber, tomato, and thinly sliced okra into a bowl, then pour over the chilled miso soup.

Every student who tries it is amazed at how delicious it is. It’s the perfect breakfast for hot summer mornings!
