Cooked winter melon

Ingredient

  • 200 g Winter melon
  • 2 Lady fingers
  • 350 ml Broth (kelp and bonito)
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp White say sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Potato starch
  • 1/2 tbsp Water
  • a lot Love

Instructions

  • Cut winter melon into a bite-size pieces, chamfer and boil until soft.
  • Remove stems from lady fingers and boil quickly.
  • Put broth, sake, mirin, and white soy sauce with love in a pan and heat.
  • Add3 to 1 and simmer slowly.
  • When the winter melon becomes tender, turn off the heat.
  • Add 2 to 5.
  • Mix potato starch and water.
  • Just before eating, thicken the sauce with 7.
  • Arrange winter melon and garnish with lady finger,then pour soup.

Notes

This is a simmered dish with a good flavor of soup stock. It is delicious chilled, so it is perfect for summer.
