Celebrating my husband’s 64th birthday at the historical restaurant \u201cConder House.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Conder House was built in 1926 as the head office of the former Nagoya Bank on Hirokoji Street in Sakae-machi 1-chome, Naka-ku, Nagoya, which was the axis of development of the textile and automobile industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early Showa period (1926-1989), the area flourished as a financial district, and numerous banks and insurance companies lined the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a symbol of wealth, this building was built with a level of luxury unimaginable today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was designed by Teiji Suzuki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, it is designated as an important building in the cityscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, it was reborn as a restaurant with wedding facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant offers lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, coffee and soft drinks, and has a full bar, all in a space with gorgeous furnishings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For weddings, a chapel filled with natural light and a staircase that looks like a scene from a movie provide the perfect atmosphere for the happy couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My husband and I were pleased that we were able to have a champagne toast, dinner, and finally a cake and a bouquet of flowers in such a beautiful restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
