Cooked winter melon
Servings: 2 people
Ingredients
- 200 g Winter melon
- 2 Lady fingers
- 350 ml Broth (kelp and bonito)
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp White say sauce
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tbsp Potato starch
- 1/2 tbsp Water
- a lot Love
Instructions
- Cut winter melon into a bite-size pieces, chamfer and boil until soft.
- Remove stems from lady fingers and boil quickly.
- Put broth, sake, mirin, and white soy sauce with love in a pan and heat.
- Add3 to 1 and simmer slowly.
- When the winter melon becomes tender, turn off the heat.
- Add 2 to 5.
- Mix potato starch and water.
- Just before eating, thicken the sauce with 7.
- Arrange winter melon and garnish with lady finger,then pour soup.
Notes
This is a simmered dish with a good flavor of soup stock. It is delicious chilled, so it is perfect for summer.
